Day 1. Transfer from Kampala to Kasese

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe and drive to Kasese through the Kampala-Mubende-Kasese route which is a 7 hours drive. You will have a stopover lunch in Mubende and proceed to Kasese - Nyakalengija. Check in at Ruboni community camp, have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2. Nyakalengija(1648) – Nyabitaba(2651)

The hike will start at around 8am through the bamboo, high elephant grass and dense bushes. You will climd some rocks and bluff, srossing river mahoma then to nyabitaba hut where you will spend the night.. You will expect to see some animals like white colubus monkeys, blue monkeys, three horned chameleon and the rwenzori turaco along this route. The journey will take you 4-5 hours.

Day 3. Nyabitaba to John matte(3503m)

You will move through the forest about half an hour yo the hurt shafer bridge, the conference of mubuku and bujuku rivers.then through the bamboo forest. Slippery moss covered rocks for a couple of hours. Proceed to nyamulenge rock shelter where you will have a view of mount stanely and mount speke. Then you will reach john matte hut where you will spend the night. This place will offer you a beautiful view of mount stanely and margherita glacier.

Day 4. John matte to Bujuku (3900m)

You will cross river mubuku to the bigo bog which is a home to the giant lobelias. And the feel of the freezing will start here. This path will give you a view of lake bujuku, mount baker, mount speke and the narrow valley below stuhlmann pass. Spend the night at bujuku hut.

Day 5. Bujuku to Nyabitaba

From bujuku you will descend back to nyabitaba hut where you will spend the night

Day 6. Nyabitaba to nyakalengija and back to Kampala

Drive back to Kampala
