This will involve going through the areas of Bigata and Harns camps. The round trip from Kitandara to the peaks and back to Freshfield Pass for dinner and an overnight stay takes approximately 10 hours. The region was named Freshfield Pass in honor of Douglas Freshfield, a prominent explorer who successfully ascended the Mubuku Valley and reached the snowy peaks. However, he was hindered from proceeding farther due to persistent rainfall in 1905.
