Mount Emin

The mountain was named after Mohammed Emin Pasha who widely explored central Africa. The mountain has narrow and rocky ridges. Mount Emin is the fourth highest in Rwenzori and has twin peaks of Umberto (15,740 ft.) and Kraepelin 4791 meters (15,720 ft.). The hike to the top is done from the south west ridge of the mountain. It can as well be hiked starting from the Mugusu valley, the hike that will take you to DRC where you will hike through the groundsel covered steep slopes to the pass between the two peaks and then proceed to the summit.
